Before the yarns can move to the looms, the handspun yarn need to be mounted on ply to form the warp and weft. It is started with opening of the hanks on the large wooden stand and is mounted on a wooden spindle. The yarn is separated for use as wrap and weft, and it is weighed before weaving.
